Position : Engineering Technician

Job Description : EHC is currently seeking an Engineering Technician on a contract basis for an oil/gas service company in Houston, TX.This position is a support technician role to adapt a large straightening press used for straightening drilling stators to one that can straighten small CT tubes. This position will assist with creating straightening procedures, qualifying the design of new fixtures, rollers, etc. as we as assist with developing the procedure to straighten tubes. Most importantly however, to actually straighten tubes at a rate of about 50/week for 2-3 months to support manufacturing of CT stators.Job Duties:

Support Engineering as needed in assembly, setup, and testing of press modifications.
Support Rework Facility & Engineering in coordinating and managing tube straightening as required.
Follow all HSE guidelines
Other responsibilities as requested by Supervisor

Requirements:

Experience in a machine shop environment is a plus.
HS diploma or GED required.
Machining experience is a plus.
Experience in using measuring equipment is a plus.
Experience in operating a straightening press is a huge plus, but not required.
ABILITY TO ACCURATELY USE INSPECTION EQUIPMENT

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $18.00 – $33.00 per hour
Schedule:

10 hour shift
