Job Summary:
The Entry-Level Auditor protects assets by ensuring compliance with internal control procedures, and regulations. The focus of this position is the reviewing and auditing of final breakdowns.
Essential Job Functions:
Reviews and audits all breakdowns before client checks are written
Create and/or maintain meticulous records, spreadsheets, and files
Analyze and complete final settlement breakdowns
Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation
Verifies assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation
Communicates audit findings by preparing a final report
Prepares special audit and control reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operating information and trends
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Other duties as assigned
Competencies:
Understanding of medical correspondence
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, to include attorneys and medical providers
Skilled in proofreading and editing
Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Sound judgement, discretion, respect and integrity
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Team oriented; must be capable of working in a cohesive and collaborative environment
Self- motivated and able to operate independently with excellent organizational skills and high level of attention to detail
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree from accredited school preferred
Knowledge in auto insurance including property damage, bodily injury, liability, commercial, uninsured motorists and personal injury protection
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Experience with Salesforce software or other CRM system
Experience with QuickBooks preferred
Experience with a variety of office equipment
Must successfully pass criminal background check
Must be punctual and have excellent attendance
Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record
