Environment, Health and Safety Officer

Property and Asset Management

What this job involves
You will be in charge of the entire bouquet of Property Management Services provided at the site. Your role will be to ensure smooth operations at the facility/site by enhancing efficiency using innovation and technology. Your role will encompass and not be limited to:

All functions, duties or tasks are to be carried out in an honest, ethical, and professional manner, and to be performed in conformance with applicable company policies and procedures. In the event of uncertainty or lack of knowledge of company policies and procedures, employees are required to request clarification or explanations from superiors or authorized company representatives.

The Essential Functions Include:
1. Represent JLL’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
2. Support Client EHS Manager with operational management of EHS programs at site.
3. Provide the city EHS leads with necessary guidance of managing EHS activities.
4. Assist facilities and local safety liaisons to integrate localized environmental health safety guidelines, programs and training.
5. Assist in emergency response program delivery (first aid/CPR training, building evacuation team and general emergency response planning).
6. Conduct hazard assessments and provide mitigation guidance in accordance to established business practices, manage transverse EHS projects which aim to prevent accidents at customer sites and reduce the environmental impact on operations, products, erected and ensure compliance with regulations.
7. Understand and analyze EHS data and information (EHS laws, regulations, benchmarking studies, industry best practices.
8. Conduct risk assessments of existing portfolio of corporate offices, identify of EHS risk and developing remediation and mitigation plans.
9. Assist the response to emergencies and significant disruptive events impacting corporate office buildings.
10. Ensure incidents are being reported and investigate; advise on corrective and preventive actions and ensure completion.
11. Ensure information on EHS policies are communicated, implemented, and executed upon among employees, vendors and third-party contractors; a. Provide technology-related recommendations for hardware and software acquisitions. be Determine which is most cost effective, build in-house or buy through third-party vendors.
12. Experience in managing programs; fall hazard control, electrical safe work, hazardous energy control (LOTO), machine safeguarding, confined spaces, hot work system impairment and fire protection systems; a. Coordinate the implementation, prioritization, and progress against defined objectives.
13. Help implement the global EHS management system in India with the help of the city EHS leads.
14. EHS Data management including standardization of data collection.
15. All other duties, as assigned.

Competencies (As Demonstrated Through Experience, Training, and/or Testing):

Good experience in managing EHS program for large corporate houses.
Health & safety related certification.
Knowledge of emergency preparedness.
Knowledgeable in industrial hygiene principles.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

Reporting:
You will be reporting to Estate Manager

Qualifications
You will have a Degree / Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical /Civil /Marine Engineering OR equivalent, with min 3 to 5 years of work experience in Facility Industry /Real Estate/ Hotel or Construction Industry. For residential sites candidates with residential experience will be preferred.
