Job Description : COMPANY: The Secret Chambers is an entertainment experience unlike any other. More than just an escape room, we go all out to bring a fully immersive, interactive, innovative experience to the customers. Since opening in October 2015, The Secret Chambers has had over 120,000 visitors, achieving perfect five star ratings across Facebook, Google, Trip Advisor, and Groupon with over 3,500 five star reviews.
POSITION: As a Game Host, you’ll be assigned a group of players and interact with them throughout the hour in-character. You’ll help move the story along, provide clues, answer questions and operate our special effects behind the scenes to deliver big surprises. Depending on your assignment each night, you may be a pirate, a supervillain, a gangster, a wizard, a ghost, an archaeologist, an alien, a game show host, a military commander, a butler, a genie, a scientist, a train robber, and many more. We’re also looking for front desk hosts to handle money and phone calls (with no acting needed).
SKILLS DESIRED: Must be available on weekends. For Game Hosts, an acting background is a plus but not required. Must be friendly, outgoing, and love helping people. The acting is much more about improvisation than line memorization so even if you’ve never acted professionally before, if you’re great at entertaining a room and not afraid to improvise, you could be successful in this position.
