The ideal candidate will have a professional and pleasant demeanor, prior experience with providing executive-level support, and demonstrated experience with maintaining confidentiality. Essential skills include excellent time management, attention to detail, professional discretion, fluency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:
As the Executive Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to:
Perform administrative functions to efficiently support the Co-Directors including:
Manage Co-Directors’ calendars
Compose and prepare confidential correspondences
Develop and manage discretionary budgets
Provide ongoing public relations on Co-Directors’ behalf with visiting collaborators, executives, and VIPs
Act as a gatekeeper in a critical role with diplomacy
Performing administrative/office management of the Co-Director’s Suite
Assist the Center Co-Directors in maintaining strategic priorities
Anticipate and solve problems to facilitate the productivity of the Center Co-Directors
Serve as the Executive Team’s primary point of contact for internal/external customers
Arrange detailed travel plans and logistics for the Executive Team
Schedule meetings across Center components
Serve as an administrative liaison across different Center components and multiple departments within SDSU Research Foundation and the University
Manage a variety of special events and coordinate attendance and participation
Qualifications:
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES REQUIRED
Thorough mastery of written and oral communication skills, including English grammar, spelling, and punctuation;
Expertise in using office software packages, technology, and systems;
Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures independently, and use judgment and discretion;
Ability to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to all inquiries and requests;
Ability to understand problems from a broader perspective;
Ability to effectively handle interpersonal interactions at all levels
Ability to plan and prioritize administrative and clerical work activities and provide support to coworkers on work
processes and procedures
Knowledge of basic budget policies and procedures
Ability to perform standard business math, such as calculate ratios and percentages, track financial data
Ability to display flexibility and handle frequent interruptions
Ability to relate well to others within the Center environment;
Ability to demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures
Ability to display motivation, initiative and strong interpersonal skills;
Ability to be organized, meet deadlines, demonstrate detail orientation; possess and demonstrate good judgment
and common sense
Ability to demonstrate a high level of cross-cultural sensitivity
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma
6-years of progressively responsible experience in an office or administrative environment
