Position Title: Executive/Sr. Executive-Process Safety
Level: Executive
Reporting To: DGM – Process Technology
Position Purpose
The chemical engineer will be responsible to do process safety testing/thermal hazard evaluation of the processes and support the process development team in scale up activities.
Strategic Responsibilities
.
Operational Responsibilities
Drive development of processes by evaluating process safety.
Develop and guide the team for safe process development through Process safety literature search & evaluating Hazard involved.
To generate data on process safety study by carrying out experiments using Reaction calorimeter, Thermal screening & DSC study.
To ensure seamless efficient scale-up of the process developed by working closely with Scale-up team.
Safety review of the process/unit operations and evaluate the risk of scaling the chemistry from lab to kilo lab/pilot plant
Maintain awareness of industry and technology trends to ensure that PI is current in development efforts to supply safe and innovative offerings
Ensure on time delivery of assigned project in terms of:
Safety reports by performing experimentation.
Waste minimization
Smooth scale-up up to KL/PP
Ensuring the safety & house keeping

Education Qualification
Graduate / Post Graduate from a reputed University / Institute
Work Experience
2-5 Years
Industry to be Hired from
Agro chemicals/fine chemicals/ pharma-API/ Specialty chemicals
Functional Competencies
Experience in Flow Chemistry/Technology
Knowledge and understanding of data from Process tests involving DSC, RC, TSU and material safety data involving Dust explosion, MIE, Powder Resistivity, Layer ignition, Ignition sensitivity, Explosion severity
