Position : Financial Analyst II
Job Description : I) Job Purpose
The position works with the departments that report to the Chief Financial Officer including but not limited to Accounting, Budget, Finance, Purchasing, Accounts Receivable, and Fundraising and collaborates with the clinical divisions: Behavioral Health, Disability Services, and Early Childhood Services. This position is charged with analyzing and strengthening document process flows; testing and enhancing applications; analysis and reporting of financial performance to advise financial strategy; and completing reporting requirements for both the Finance Department and the Agency.
II) Essential Functions
A) Analyze, gather, and document business and/or technical requirements.
B) Document the current process or data flows and provide recommendations/create documentation for a future process flow.
C) Assist in the modification, enhancement, and testing of existing applications and processes.
D) Assist in the implementation of new information systems, which may replace or augment the current application set.
E) Assist in providing analysis, reporting, tracking, and resolution of problems relating to their assigned systems.
F) Provide regular updates of tasks and projects.
G) Plan and work flexibly to deadlines.
H) Support users as it relates to system needs.
I) Participate in the development of software applications
J) Provide regular status reports.
K) Track work with designated tools.
L) Complete work for departments as needed to meet month end close deadlines, funding source submission deadlines, and other fiscal reporting deadlines.
M) Attend monthly expense and revenue meeting as requested
N) Review all Revenue Contracts for match and proper treatment.
O) Performance Contract tracking.
P) Maintain and monitor performance of agency’s Internal Controls Program.

R) Perform other job duties or responsibilities as requested or assigned.

I) Knowledge of MHMR Policy & Procedures
J) Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
K) Knowledge of Uniform Grant Management Standards (UGMS)
L) Knowledge of forecasting, cost analysis, advanced financial reporting, and
M) Knowledge of Internal Controls Processes.
IV) Internal & External Customer Service
A) This position requires internal and external contact with all levels of management and field personnel. The employee will accomplish this with advanced written and verbal skills.

(c) Maintains a positive attitude and good customer service at all times.

V) Travel
A) This position requires some travel to MHMR facilities and training providers.
B) Employees are required to have a license in good standing and be able to be covered by agency liability insurance. If personal vehicle is utilized for work travel, then maintaining personal auto insurance coverage is required.
Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree
Defined Education
Finance, Business, Accounting or related field.
Experience Required
3 years relevant experience
Substitution
Will substitute a combination of college education, and relevant experience totaling 7 years of experience.
License/Certifications:
