Conduct of Financial Literacy Camps: To ensure Maximum Financial Literacy Coverage in allocated blocks: In order to ensure coverage of maximum number of people in allocated FLC Centre / blocks in the state, FLC Counselors needs to travel to nearby villages, blocks &conduct; FLC camps in Gram Panchayats, Schools, Colleges, ITI Centers, etc.
FLC counselors needs to cover different five target groups’ viz.
farmers, small entrepreneurs, school children, senior citizens and SHGs in Financial Literacy Camps and to cover maximum participation.
To organize and participate in Financial Literacy Melas organized by SLBCs and Banks and to ensure maximum participation by spreading awareness prior to organizing FLC Camps.
To participate actively during Financial Literacy week organized by RBI and to adhere RBI guidelines for FLC camps, i.
e Display of Banners and Posters at Financial Literacy Centres and at Financial Literacy Camps and distribution of FLC Camps Leaflets provided by RBI.
Ensure operational and reporting guidelines adherence in conduct of Financial Literacy Camps: Operational guidelines for FLCs on conduct of FLC Camps FL centres needs to conduct 2 special camps per month in two gram panchayat (once every fortnight) and 15-20 Target Specific camps per month (Farmers, SMEs, SHGs, School Children and Senior Citizens.
FLCs utilize the posters and flyers prescribed by RBI for propagating the UPI and USSD platforms and Promote Digital methods of banking (Mobile Banking /Net Banking, Use of Debit/ Credit Card etc.
The focus of FLC camps is to make participants aware about digital ways of doing banking through demonstrations of UPI and *99# (USSD), Mobile Banking, Net Banking.
People are encouraged to register and get on board the digital platforms.
The calendar for each month for conducting FLC camps is prepared in advance by each FLC and is shared with SLBCs / RBI Regional office.
FLC / DCCs / BLBCs discuss the “Conduct of Special camps by FLCs” as a separate agenda item in the quarterly DCC/BLBC meetings and provide necessary reporting / feedback.
SLBC / RBI representatives conduct surprise checks and FLC counselor needs to ensure compliance and manage queries of the officials during these visits.
Ensure maintenance of reports/records as per RBI requirements.
Relationship Management: Relationship Management: Interaction with Internal and External Stakeholders: The role involves interactions with branches, RIG/SLI team for conducting FLC camps and also generate leads for Other Products of the Banks Liaison and interaction with external stakeholders such as SLBC, Regulators, DCC/ BLBC to Identify public places where camps can be held &enabling; participation of bankers and public authorities for a concerted approach, giving publicity to camps and continuous monitoring of conduct of the camps by the FLCs.
Other objectives Digital Awareness and Customer initiatives: Other Objectives: Financial Literacy efforts is focused on Financial Literacy, Awareness of Digital Banking Activation of accounts opened in the various financial inclusion efforts of RBI / government – eg.
PMJDY /PMJJBY/ PMSBY /APY and other Financial Inclusion initiatives.
