Fraud Investigators are responsible for evaluating the circumstances of a case of suspected fraud and make recommendations about future measures. They interview witnesses, complainants, and employers and research transactions and records to present investigation results and testify in court if required. The Fraud Investigator will use the latest and most up-to-date real-time information to mitigate and safeguard the company’s assets.

Essential Functions*

Act under the authority of the client to coordinate and control any related standards activities
The embedded employee is expected to have up-to-date knowledge of the client’s projects to effectively provide risk mitigation plans and ensure the security of all critical assets
The embedded employee is responsible for a coherent client response on relevant program and projects pertaining to the job
Provide top-quality advice, facilitate effective knowledge management, and deliver technical assistance to project planning, coordination, monitoring and reporting in any collaboration
Collect, evaluate, and disseminate intelligence to support action plans
Work closely with the different security teams
Write security incident investigation reports to communicate the results of their investigations
Assist documenting and updating as appropriate the standards and processes ensuring that investigations are done properly following all the applicable standards
Interviewing suspects
Process and maintain a wide variety of files, logs, reports, and forms
Prepare written reports of incidents in the proper format and with correct grammar and spelling
Monitor and adhere to internal operational controls, including legal, corporate, and regulatory procedures to ensure the safety and security of client assets and personnel
Recommending actions in fraud cases
Preparing evidence for presentation in court
Collect and preserve evidence properly

Required Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
Must have one or more of the following experiences: Business Administration, Fraud Management, Law, Accounting, Criminal Justice or Economic Crime
Must be well versed in current technologies and open source search methodologies
Competence with MS Office Suite and other database systems
Must be willing to sign an NDA and maintain strict confidentiality
Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor during stressful situations
Must be able to quickly adapt and excel in dynamic situations
Having high attention to details and being able to think strategically
Being able to interrogate persons
Having oral presentation skills
Being able to work on non-traditional hours
Having organizational skills
Being assertive
Competencies and KASO (knowledge, aptitude, skills and other)

Multi-tasking time sensitive and detailed Operations planning activities
Industry and business acumen
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
Successful client management experience
A demonstrated history of effective conflict resolution skills

Work Environment & Physical/Mental Demands
