Job Description : Essential Job Functions:

Monitor the integrity of the pipeline system and take appropriate action when necessary to ensure Howard Energy Partners is defined as a prudent operator by regulatory agencies utilizing MIS (Clear SCADA) SCADA system.
Must be able to provide emergency response coordination along with making appropriate notifications.
Ensure uninterrupted transportation service of natural gas on all Howard Energy’s Pipeline Systems.
Monitor system performance and capacities, making proper notifications of equipment needing repair or calibration.
Set flow rates at control valves to meet scheduled customer nominations.
Work with field personnel to help troubleshoot equipment issues affecting pipeline operations.
Provide assistance to Pipeline Control customers and the operations teams as required.
Negotiate flow deviations due to operational upsets and other methods to maximize volumes and revenues.
Remotely operate control valves to maintain system demand(s) and contract pressures.
Adhere to all Control Room Management regulations set forth by PHMSA and follow all Howard Energy Partner’s procedures.
Acquire continuous training and maintain Pipeline Control Operator Certification. (Operator Qualification)
Ensure that gas quality at receipt/delivery points meet tariff specifications.

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:

Basic to intermediate experience in gas control, pipeline operations, or direct field related experience to gas control.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to adapt to rapid changes.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing to other individuals, teams, customers, and stakeholders of the business.
Required to be fit for duty while working in a 24/7 environment with 12 hour rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. (Modified DuPont Schedule)
Training schedule will be Standard Monday – Friday 40 hours
Possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as an individual contributor, or in a team environment, while supporting teams for a common goal and/or solution.

Experience Preferred

2 year(s): Pipeline Operations experience
2 year(s): Gas Control experience

Education Required

High School or better
