Job Description : Main Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Orient clients on the location of different products.

2. Make sure the lights are on in the cabinets and refrigerators.

3. Check the temperature of the refrigerators, including that of frozen ones.

4. Clean the shelves and make spaces for the arrival of new merchandise, before the new orders arrive.

5. Clean and organize the warehouse.

6. Rotate and accommodate merchandise in the store.

7. Arming and disassembling product displays.

8. Review expiration dates on all products.

9. Organize the expired items in the warehouse, to obtain credit from the corresponding supplier.

10. Receive the posters of the biweekly specials and place them in their positions outside and inside the store.

11. Refill ice and keep it ready for customers’ purchase.

12. Gather the carts outside and inside the store, so that they are available to customers.

13. Make the purchase order for the dairy products with the supervision of the store manager.

14. Receive all merchandise from different suppliers with the supervision of the store manager.

15. Return the merchandise that is out of place, and place it in the right place.

16. Appropriately manage all the equipment, to organize the goods without damaging it.

17. Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

18. REALIZE ANY OTHER TASK ALLOCATED BY THE MANAGER OF THE STORE.

Knowledge, Skills, Skills and Other Personal Characteristics:

1. Customer service.

2. Basic knowledge of mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).

3. Ability to multitask simultaneously.

4. Organization and customer service.

5. Ability to read and follow instructions.

6. Knowledge of different temperatures of refrigerators.

7. Knowledge about the variety of products in the store and its location.

8. Patient, kind and honest.

9. Ability to work under pressure.

10. Ability to communicate with customers, employees and suppliers.

11. Speak and read Spanish and English fluently.

Minimum requirements:

1. Speak Spanish and English fluently.

2. Basic knowledge of mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).

3. Ability to read at an eighth grade level.

4. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Desirable Requirements:

1. High school graduation (desirable).

2. 6 months of experience as a Grocery Assistant (preferred).

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to lift 50 pounds.

2. Ability to stand for long periods of time.

3. Ability to work in various temperatures (warm / cold).

4. Ability to do repetitive movements.

5. Ability to bend, kneel, bend and bend.

6. Ability to push and pull boxes or heavy objects.
