Job Description : COVID FREE FACILITY!
An experienced Medical Records Assistant is needed for a fast paced Nursing and Rehabilitation facility. The ideal candidate will have very strong follow through and follow up skills and be able to work effectively under supervision as well as independently. Experience in a skilled setting highly desirable.
In this position you will be working under the supervision of the Medical Records Director to assist in the following:
Maintain daily admission and discharge log for each resident.
Check charts on new admissions daily until all required paperwork has been completed.
Assembles and audits discharged residents’ records.
Maintain daily filing for in-house, overflow, and discharge charts.
Check the physicians’ orders daily for signatures and new orders that need signatures and flag them.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior Medical Records experience preferred (at least 1 year)
Must be highly efficient and organized in maintaining and compiling large volumes of documentation.
Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with EMR (PointClickCare) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of long-term care resident needs
