Job Description : Center for Transforming Lives has an immediate opening in our growing Housing Services program for a Housing Specialist. Come be a part of an innovative team that does whatever it takes to create success for families experiencing homelessness.
The Housing Specialist works collaboratively with the Tarrant County Homeless Coalition (TCHC) to rapidly move individuals and families out of homelessness into safe and stable permeant housing. The housing specialist has the primary responsibility of partnering with individuals and families experiencing homelessness to locate and secure housing utilizing a trauma informed approach and implementing Housing First Principles, when applicable.
Qualified candidates will have:

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related field is required.
Two years of experience working with families experiencing complex traumas such as homelessness, poverty, substance abuse, various forms of victimization and mental health issues.
Experience in the area of social services and in-depth knowledge of available community resources is required.
