Job Description : Reporting to the Sr. HR Business Partner, the HR Associate in the Employment division will provide administrative services that support employee recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention. The HR Associate will work directly with talent acquisition specialists, HR Business Partners, and hiring managers to coordinate recruitment and other employment activities, advertise job openings, conduct employment verifications, manage personnel files and record-keeping. The HR Associate will develop a detailed understanding HR policies and procedures related to employment and respond to routine questions. The HR Associate will use MS Office Suite, the Taleo applicant tracking system, Banner ERP, TU Portal, and other HR related and university electronic systems. Serves as a backup to the Employment Administrative Assistant. May also support HR related trainings. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience: At least 3 years of related administrative experience, preferably in human resources, supporting fast paced recruitment operations. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be required.

Required Skills & Abilities:

Demonstrated computer and internet navigation skills along with proficiency with MS Office Suite software programs.
Demonstrated ability to handle a high volume of telephone calls.
Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills along with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff.
Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented and work in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to navigate electronic applicant tracking and HRIS systems.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, along with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse constituent population.(mentioned above)
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills, along with the ability to be detail- and task-oriented.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential documents.

Preferred:

Associate degree.
Experience in a Human Resources Department.
Experience with electronic applicant tracking systems.
Knowledge of Temple systems, including Banner, Taleo, and TU Portal.

This position requires a background check.
This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
