Job Description : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR leader to join the ThreeMile Canyon leadership team. This position will drive the development and day to day execution of the Human Resource team while setting farm and dairy HR strategies in partnership with operational leadership. As a key member of the leadership team, the HR Director will lead the Human Resource initiatives to provide a team member oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment and organizational growth. This individual will contribute as a strategic partner in the accomplishment of departmental plans through initiatives that attract and retain talent, develop team members and leaders, and align organizational goals and objectives.

Job Duties Include
Develops organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives.
Drive strategy and approach related to all farm and dairy team member hiring – primary responsibility for recruiting, screening, interviewing, and hiring of non-exempt team members.
Implements human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations.
Manages human resources operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and consistent performance management; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing staff job contributions; maintaining compensation; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change.
Lead the strategy to enhance Threemile Canyon Farms existing H2A and TN visa program to attract and retain a broader labor pool by leveraging US government sponsored VISA programs
Manage the annual employee engagement survey action planning process to develop and implement employee suggestions to increase engagement
Maintains satisfactory labor-management relations through a variety of techniques such as quarterly meetings.
Participates in collective bargaining negotiations and ensures compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
Accomplishes special project results by identifying and clarifying issues and priorities; communicating and coordinating requirements; expediting fulfillment; evaluating milestone accomplishments; evaluating optional courses of action; changing assumptions and direction.
Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions; analyzing information and applications.
Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values.
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Requirements
5 + years of HR management experience, preferably within a farm, or agri-business industry
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications or related field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational skills
Prefer effective labor relations experience building consensus with union representatives and employee delegates
Ability and willingness to challenge the status quo and present alternative viewpoints
Demonstrate strategic agility to participate as a problem-solving partner across all aspects of the business
Strong partnership and collaboration skills
