Position : HR/Immigration Specialist

Job Description : HR Job Duties

Conducts new employee orientations, ensuring all necessary forms and documents are completed and returned. Enters new employee information into computer database, working closely with Payroll. Sets up all necessary personnel files, answers questions, and follows up as needed.
Complete E-verify and I-9
Maintain employee records
Conduct yearly appraisals
Process all salary changes due to merit increases, promotions, or range adjustments. Ensures that all necessary documents have been received, information accurately entered into the computer database, and forwarded to payroll. Maintains Human Resources database, and provides reports to managers as needed.
Answers routine benefits questions for managers and employees, and assists with problem solving. Acts as a liaison between employees and insurance carriers to resolve problems and clarify benefits.
Conducts exit interviews with employees leaving the company, providing them with pertinent and accurate information, notifying necessary health/insurance providers.

Immigration:

Oversee full lifecycle for immigration sponsorship to include H-1B caps, L-1 Visas, F-1 (STEM OPT and CPT), and Perm/Green Card in partnership with immigration legal counsel.
Manage immigration cases in partnership with outside legal counsel and others for visa transfer requests, amendments, Request for Evidence (RFE’s) and extensions.
Provide guidance and oversee document preparation for CPT, OPT, and STEM OPT.
Act as primary liaison between immigration legal counsel and employees during the immigration process.
Educate and advise on immigration questions, concerns and guidelines and escalate as necessary.
Provide partnership and support to new joiner candidates and recruiters to determinate appropriate sponsorship path and work authorization.
Advise and educate recruiters on potential visa options and challenges for potential new hires, while ensuring compliance.
Provide verification of employment letters upon request.
Utilize strong working knowledge of immigration to recommend the appropriate immigration strategy.
Review immigration invoices

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
