Job Description : POSITION SCOPE
This position will act as the onsite liaison between the Professional Employer Organization (PEO) and the Executive Leadership Team. The Human Resource Coordinator will work closely with the PEO team in the management of daily organizational HR tasks.
Bilingual is preferred but not required.
Salary: $65,000 – $75,000, DOE
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Works with the PEO in the administration of all benefit plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations.
Audits reports and other applicable documents relating to benefit plans sent to and/or received from the PEO and/or insurance carriers/third party benefit administrators to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper premium deductions/payments.
Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
Completes the employer portion of the Form I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
Submits requests to the PEO for drug tests and employee background checks and then coordinates with the Executive Leadership Team and/or the hiring manager in the event of an adverse drug or background check result.
Conducts audits of payroll, benefits and other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
Assists with recruitment and interview process. Works closely with staff and the PEO to track the status of candidates throughout the hiring process.
Schedules meetings and interviews as requested.
Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
Files documents into and maintains appropriate employee files.
Assists or prepares correspondence as necessary/requested.
Prepares new-employee files.
Processes mail.
Performs other clerical/administrative related duties as assigned.
Participates in the process of disciplining and/or the termination of employees in accordance with company policy and PEO guidance.
Ensures continuity and successful delivery of functional services to users throughout the organization.
Participates in the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and training of new staff.
Oversees the daily workflow of the HR department and its budget.
In partnership with the PEO, develops, prepares, generates and analyzes ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to employee personnel information and data, including issues such as benefits costs, staffing levels/deployment, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, applicant tracking, affirmative action/EEO, compensation, promotions, etc. Effectively utilizes the relevant HR Information Systems to obtain, store and analyze pertinent data and information.
Maintains and expands knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resource management.
Identify HR trends that could affect organizational objectives and/or operational resources.
Establishes procedures to ensure all internal customers are assisted appropriately and in a timely manner.
Participates in the preparation of staff development plans for each functional associate. Assesses the skills and skill levels necessary to achieve work objectives.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
At least two years related experience required.
Certification by SHRM preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
Three years of progressively responsible experience in human resources.
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) current certification preferred.
Prior payroll and benefits management experience preferred.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
Three years of progressively responsible experience in human resources.
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) current certification preferred.
Prior payroll and benefits management experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be willing to office in San Antonio.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
