A Human Resources Business Partner job is available with the City of Fort Worth. The City of Fort Worth is seeking a well-rounded, self-motivated team player to serve as a Human Resources Business Partner for senior management who will consult on issues related to Human Resources (HR); provide proactive communication to departments and serve as a change agent for the City; balance employee needs with business objectives to create integrated outcomes for assigned business units; and, ensure consistent application of policies, processes, and systems throughout the City. The ideal candidate will have current or prior hands-on and direct HR Department experience.
The Human Resources Business Partner job responsibilities include:

Develop City culture and ensure each business unit’s employee engagement is aligned to the City of Fort Worth’s Mission, Vision, Values, and Goals by maintaining awareness of the culture, plans, financial position, and competition of the business units.
Develop and nurture partnerships through human resources to bridge the divide between management and employees by partnering with senior management and serve as an HR expert/consultant to identify, align, and drive strategic HR priorities to include change management, workforce planning, talent management and succession, organizational design and culture/engagement.
Support assigned business units to ensure HR strategies, processes, and practices are implemented consistently and be able to anticipate other HR related needs.
Lead culture assessments to drive operational results.
Analyze employee engagement, employee turnover data, and other metrics to make sound improvements and recommendations to each Department Director and management team.
Provide data, analytics, benchmark and industry knowledge to business discussions.
Provide and deliver innovative and integrated HR practices around critical business issues.
Balance employee needs with business objectives to create integrated outcomes for business units.
Ensure consistent application of policies, processes, and systems throughout the City.
Coach management teams to enhance leadership abilities, relationships among teams/individuals, interpersonal communications and performance management.
Partner with appropriate HR divisions to provide a full range of HR services in the areas of Talent Acquisition & Development, Employee Labor Relations, Compensation/Classification/Civil Service, Benefits/Wellness, and Risk Management.
Mediate, resolve, and manage employee relation issues and conduct thorough and objective investigations, when necessary.
Ensure regulatory compliance with legal requirements pertinent to the day-to-day management of employees and collaborate with the legal department when necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
At least five (5) years of direct human resource generalist experience supporting multiple business units in a Human Resources Department.
At least two (2) years of direct Human Resources Department administrative responsibility.
Possession of a valid driver’s license.
Certification in Human Resource Management is a strong plus.

Conditions of Employment
Candidates who do not meet the Education requirement, may be considered if they have more relevant work experience than the position requires.
