Position : INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST
Job Description : Reporting to the Information Technology Manager, this position will assist with a myriad of duties associated with the Information Technology needs of the Manufactured Housing and Building division and other agency divisions of the Arizona Department of Housing.
Job Duties:
Duties will include: ongoing monitoring and documenting of systems, including servers, workstations, storage systems, networking devices, printers, and other hardware devices within the agency. Conduct ongoing monitoring of system reliability and availability and of logs produced by the aforementioned systems and responding as needed; Deployment and documenting of software upgrades, patches and fixes; Ensuring compliance with standards for systems software and documentation; Responding promptly to meet customer needs for service and assistance using a customer-centric approach; Assist with annual disaster recovery exercise efforts and other periodic reviews, including compliance and security evaluations; Maintenance of general user accounts, including employee on-boarding, suspensions, permission changes, temporary accounts, and other maintenance for both in-house systems and third-party services. Other duties as assigned. This position is available for remote work within Arizona (including in office hoteling), as well as a flexible schedule.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
Candidates must possess sufficient education or technical job related experience demonstrating an ability to perform the duties of the position. Must have a general working knowledge of infrastructure technologies and commonly used components found in the enterprise environment, including general networking and system integrity best practices, data privacy principles, and commitment to IT security controls. Desired skills include ability to understand and work with cloud service providers (Azure and AWS), SaaS services (including basic Salesforce administration), shared storage, log analysis, threat detection and prevention, patch management, and data loss prevention. Candidates must demonstrate a willingness and dedication to continual self-improvement, education, research and analysis in this dynamic field of work. Candidates must be able to adequately handle and solve conflict, set goals and objectives, use time efficiently, ability to exercise an intermediate level of troubleshooting skills, and maintain confidentiality.
