Job Description : Inventory Control Manager – Houston, TX
As a partner to the business, the Inventory Manager role will work closely with Operations to source, track, and manage ICA’s parts and inventory ensuring minimal business disruptions and optimal inventory levels. Whilst the role will be based in Houston, the incumbent will be expected to travel within the USA at least monthly to visit inventory sites. In addition, this role is primarily based in the office and not remote.
This role has no direct reports but is a manager of the Inventory function with various indirect reporting relationships.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Procure to pay
· Creating purchase requisitions, ensuring purchases are approved, and sourced from company approved suppliers.
· Resolving vendor disputes and collaborate to resolve back-order and delivery discrepancies.
· Key stakeholder in the procure to pay process ensuring invoices are matched to purchase orders and work with vendors to resolve invoicing discrepancies
· Reviews purchase orders and contracts for compliance with company and departmental policies and appropriate accounting treatment.
Sourcing
· Maintains a robust supplier selection system ensuring a pipeline of competitive supplier alternatives to source critical spares and parts.
· Align with Operations to ensure that parts and long lead equipment required for repair projects are ordered on time to prevent business disruption.
· Maintaining a good working relationship with suppliers by communicating and dealing with concerns or problems, such as a delay in orders being processed.
· Maintains knowledge of trends, prices, buyers, and delivery conditions to anticipate future material availability; and manages directs purchasing programs accordingly.
· Communicates with suppliers to resolve problems that may arise regarding delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale.
Inventory Levels
· Partners with Operations to establish minimum order quantities and maintain adequate stock levels to ensure minimal stock outs and prevent overstocking.
Safeguarding of Inventory
· Develops and maintains inventory databases for supplies and materials consumed.
· Oversees monthly and annual inventory counts and provide input into accounting for inventory valuation
· Complete implementation of E-maintenance inventory management system, ensuring company-wide roll out of barcoding system for tracking inventory, and proper adherence to goods receipt and goods issue protocols.
· Proper housekeeping of inventory
Capital Project Support
· Maintain a tracking database of New Station build parts and equipment
· Coordinate with capital project suppliers to ensure proper storage of parts received but not utilized
· Assist with PO generation for capital projects
· Develops and maintains inventory databases for supplies and materials consumed.
· Performs other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities: · Proven negotiation skills.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite as well as E-maintenance.Education and Experience: · Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
· Coursework in purchasing and/or inventory control management, preferred
· Five years of buying or purchasing experience required
· Five years of direct inventory management required
· Warehouse experience is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year

Inventory Optimization & Planning Occupations: 5 years (Required)
Inventory control: 5 years (Required)

Inventory System Implementation: 2 years (Preferred)
Inventory Accounting, Reporting, Annual Counts, Cycle Counts: 5 years (Required)
