Position : Inventory Coordinator

Job Description : Under the direction of the Regional Operations Manager, the incumbent performs an array of functions that include purchasing and receiving incoming stock and picking, packing and shipping orders.
Essential Functions
· Ensures a safe work environment by following Airgas/Red-D-Arc’s health and safety guidelines
· Enters purchase requisitions, issues purchase orders and enters purchase order receipts
· Shipping and receiving which includes loading and unloading trucks
· Verifies incoming shipments
· Sorts and places stock according to organizational standards
· Prepares orders by processing requests, pulling stock, and packing boxes or pallets
· Maintains inventory controls by recording amounts of stock received or distributed using a computer
· Participates in counting and recording physical inventory audits
· Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and work stations neat
· Organizes warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
· Performs other related duties as required
Qualifications:
· Post-secondary education preferred
· 1-2 years previous purchasing, warehouse
· Understanding of purchasing and inventory control processes
· Work experience in the welding and/or rental industry preferred

· Proficient in a computerized environment
Physical demands and abilities
· Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, move or lift objects up to 50 lbs
· Occasionally move objects that weigh more than 50 lbs
· Ability to operate a lift truck (training will be provided)
· required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods of time
