No requirement in any understanding of plants or the horticulture industry.We are a wholesale nursery providing plants to growers and garden centers. Looking to add a member to their company who works in the office handling tasks including but not limited to working with inventory, and working with complex excel spreadsheets and looking at data. We are looking for a hard-working team player that is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and has a high attention to detail. The job is highly computer-based, applicants must have solid computer skills. We are a medium sized business where the owners are very active in the daily operations. A person in this job position would be working with other employees as well as the owners on a day-to-day basis.The understanding and desire to know many facets of the operation, is a must to do well in this position. A person who will excel in this position will want to operate their job tasks with accuracy, efficiency, and self-motivation.Tasks include but are not limited to:· Complex inventory tracking, using company database and excel· Responsible for certain company reporting that happens annually, tracking in excel and a high level of detail· Customer service as necessary – help customers by answering questions, preventing miscommunication, resolving concerns· Assist with shipping & all paperwork with that when necessary· Flexibility and willingness to learn other tasks to help the team in whatever way possibleCompetencies, strengths:Solid practical computer skillsCustomer service skills, attentive listening, friendly personalityTeam playerIntermediate Excel experienceAbility to frame an issue and solve problemsAbility and willingness to dive into the details yourselfCritical thinking and analytical skillsMust be able to adapt to fast changes and demandsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to multi-task and prioritizePay rate will be determined off of experience, skills and the right personality.
