The IT Director oversees all technology functions in our organization. The position is multifaceted and requires visiting campuses to troubleshoot and repair issues, responding / assigning tickets, and managing behind the desk. Responsible for creating and implementing IT policies and systems that promote workplace efficiency and function. Identifies needs for upgrades and makes recommendations to decision-makers

Responsibilities Overview:

Manage Technology needs for organization

Oversee the workflow and manage tech assistant(s) in the IT Department.
Responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and security of networks. Responsible for hardware and software upgrade recommendations based on organization’s technology.
Oversee the VOIP system and phone configuration.
Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging, etc.)
Lead company initiatives, collaborating across departments and functional areas that support adoption and implementation of technology in all aspects of business, including those that improve workflow, teaching and learning.

Supervise or coordinate the skills development of all employees in the operation of technology. Build awareness among employees of available resources and the role of technology in the instructional process.
Develop and deliver staff trainings centered around use of technology, systems, and software as requested by Administrative Teams.
Develop and coordinate a broad range of technology-based resources, maximizing the availability and use of these resources.
Local travel will be required

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area * Any equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, and skills may substitute for any or all education requirements
4+ years of progressive, relevant information technology experience in IT infrastructure, network administration, server administration and workstation management, cloud based administration and management, strategic planning and development, project management, and policy development, managing a diverse technology group including network administrators, technology support and SIS teams.
Experience leading, developing, implementing, and operating technology solutions in a complex systems and operational environment.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365

Intermediate level of knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Windows Autopilot
Knowledge of processes and procedures involved in diagnosing and resolving server/workstation issues in a cloud based environment
Analytical skills to determine the source of problems and provide resolution and eliminate recurring problems
Experience and ability to work collaboratively with teachers and administrators to develop and/or adopt technology based solutions
Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card

Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
