Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, Education or related area from four-year College or university preferred.
4+ years of progressive, relevant information technology experience in IT infrastructure, network administration, server administration and workstation management, cloud based administration and management, strategic planning and development, project management, and policy development, managing a diverse technology group including network administrators, technology support and SIS teams.
Experience leading, developing, implementing, and operating technology solutions in a complex systems and operational environment.
Professional level experience with technology in the public sector may substitute for any or all education requirements.
Any equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, skills, and training as approved by the Superintendent.
Knowledge of processes and procedures involved in diagnosing and resolving server/workstation issues in a cloud based environment
Analytical skills to determine the source of problems and provide resolution and eliminate recurring problems
Ability to assist adults in the use of computers and mobile technology, operating systems, application software, and integration of technology into the curriculum
Experience and ability to work collaboratively with teachers and administrators to develop and/or adopt technology based solutions
Demonstrated computer literacy;
Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills in dealing with staff and the general public
Responsibilities
Supervises: Network Administrator, Technology Support Technician, Technology Support Assistants, and Data System Specialist
Develops and implements the overall long-term IT strategic vision to meet the District’s education and administrative business goals.
Provide leadership, direction and coordination of the Districts infrastructure as well as maintain the districts technology plan, instructing others in the operation of equipment and computer applications: making equipment repairs and providing technical support, and diagnosing malfunctions and/or recommending equipment acquisitions
Communicate with others in a clear and precise manner and work cooperatively and tactfully with staff and public even in times of stress
Provide training for staff in the use of software applications including multimedia technology
Oversee all audit requirements including the maintenance of system documentation, disaster recovery planning, incident reporting, internal policies and procedures, and cybersecurity policy and awareness training
Procure, install and administer computer hardware, software, networks and multimedia technology for schools and the district office
Recommend appropriate hardware and software for implementation of curriculum and technological advancement
Provide technical support and assistance to district personnel
Perform analysis functions to identify and correct technology related problems
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
