Position : IT Support Technician – IT Services

Job Description : The need is to maintain the staffing level in order to support the existing and increased call volume and increased number of departments, applications and systems being supported by the IS Service Desk. Maintaining standard staffing levels is critical to the efficiency and success of the Service Desk by ensuring industry standard average speed to answer, the shortest possible hold times and lowest possible abandon rates.

Excellent Customer Service Skills
The 4INFO agent will exhibit excellent customer service skills, by being attentive to the customer, allowing the customer to explain issues, always exhibiting courtesy, and understanding tried and true methods of resolving issues.

Presence/Dependability
The 4INFO agent will make every effort to respond to customer request, at the beginning of their designated shift. If unable to make it to work, the agent will offer adequate notice, so alternate arrangements can be made. The 4INFO agent will be mindful of the team’s workload and be considerate when taking breaks and adhering to their assigned lunch breaks. The 4INFO agent will monitor their Kronos timecard daily.

Continued Education and Learning
The 4INFO agent will attend regularly scheduled Knowledge Transfer Sessions, where they will be expected to interact, share knowledge, and enhance their own knowledge of the Service Desk by putting ideas into use. They will also be expected to complete any assigned courses in the Education Center (Taleo) and/or Lynda.com.

Other duties as assigned

Education: Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Certification: Preferred: CompTIA A+ Certification, Microsoft Certified Professional, Apple Certified Macintosh Technician

Experience: Two years of experience with desktop, mobile computing and/or network, including problem analysis/resolution, and installation. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
