Flight Dispatcher- Houston, TX
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Accountable for all daily operations tasks, flight activities and/or operational functions during his/her shift of Flight Operation
Prepare in timely manner, generate, submit and disseminate a valid Flight plan for all flights.
Evaluate weather, aircraft performance and other parameters of the operators/customers policy related to safety.
Maintain correct flight log times and adequate flight watching.
Proactively flight watch of daily flight activity, aircraft/crew arrivals and departures, crew airline transfers, monitor all other duties and tasks associated with the daily operations of Flight Operations.
Recommends improvements in the processes and procedures for the Flight Operations and Ground assistance sectors.
Warns promptly the Operations Manager, of all delays and or changes that may affect the operators/customers flight activity.
Supports the Operations Manager in preparation of any required written or oral information and/or report.
Provides the Operations Manager with selective and realistic information to best achieve decision-making.
Organize, if required, daily activity based on workload.
Documents, as required, any situation or deviation that affect the quality of the service, provided or the activity of the operator/customer.
Available for assignment of other duties at discretion of the Operations Manager.
Flexible work schedule including shifts required, grasping the full understanding of all aspects of the position and must fully understand the responsibilities of a Flight Dispatcher.
The individual must be able to work in team environment.
Some travel may be required
