Make an Impact! As a Lab Assistant, you will process specimens for laboratory testing and prepare tissues for processing, staining and storage. You will receive collected specimens, track specimens and/or send out specimens for processing. You will work under the general supervision of the laboratory supervisor, by supporting the Clinical Laboratory Scientists in the performance of duties associated with the areas of the laboratory and all tasks involved in the processing and handling of specimens in the Clinical and Anatomic areas of the laboratory.

Position: Laboratory Assistant Shift: Monday-Friday 3:00pm-11:30pm with rotating weekends. Holidays based on department needs
Experience: Working knowledge of medical information systems preferred.
Moderate knowledge of medical terminology.
Excellent verbal, written, computer and clerical skills.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Licensures/Certifications: Certification as a Medical Assistant or related field preferred.
