The ideal candidate will have previous compound management experience, specifically with weighing and solvating compounds, have a professional attitude, high attention to detail, and great communication skills.

Starting pay: Salary range is $20.00 to $23.00 (dependent on applicable experience

Core Responsibilities

Receiving and weighing samples from in-house and external sources
Filling work orders for the distribution of dry and solvated samples to on-site researchers. When required, conduct reformatting routines and array compounds from vials to microtiter plates
Performing routine data entry for compound submission, and inventory management
Conducting quality control of inventory logs
Labeling and storing vials into appropriate storage bins and updating inventory logs
Populating inventory system with incoming compounds from CROs
Following established department SOP’s and work procedures
Packaging and shipping compounds to external collaborators
Complying with all company policies and procedures including safety rules, policies, and regulations
Performing work process documentation, metrics tracking, and communication routines
Additional related tasks as necessary
This position has no direct reports
Adherence to company and customer COVID-19 safety guidelines

Skills & Requirements

Prior service industry or lab experience a plus but not required
High School Diploma/G.E.D.
Familiarity with the industrial laboratory environment; direct Compound Management experience and/or experience using microbalances and solvating compounds strongly preferred
Automation experience (especially liquid handlers, auto-pipettor stations) preferred
Able to work with Potentially Hazardous Materials (PHMs) and utilize safety equipment, such as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and engineering controls such as fume hoods
Intermediate proficiency with the Microsoft ecosystem (Windows, Office, Office 365, etc.), especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Physical Requirements:

Fine hand motor skills and manual dexterity
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, moving, carrying, bending, kneeling, reaching, and handling, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to independently move and lift boxes up to 25lbs and carry short distances

Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Personal transportation required as work may involve transit between multiple work sites.
Available to work within the core business hours of 7AM to 6PM, and availability for evenings/weekends as dictated by ad-hoc lab needs.

Service hours are generally 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday
