We are currently interviewing for Lab Technician – NDT in Arlington, TX plant
Bodycote is offering a $1000 sign-on retention bonus!
Bodycote offers:

Starting wages are $23.00 to $30.00 an hour depending on experience
Paid holidays and paid time off

Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week
8am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday

Are you fascinated by science and material integrity? Start a career with Bodycote looking under microscopes determining product integrity and reliability. In this role, you will prepare and perform NDT testing on metal components for manufactures in a variety of industries. In addition you will:

Review paperwork to verify information and testing to be done based on applicable codes, standards and specifications.
Prepares parts and equipment set-up and calibration for testing procedures.
Conducts testing as required, reporting any non-conformance to manager.
Accurately completes required paperwork and follows through as required.
Provide customer support by assisting in technical information sharing, problem resolution and testing coordination.
This position allows for cross training and development of additional skills and may be responsible for on-the job training and guidance to NDT Level 1 employees.

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder.
Certification as an NDT- Level 2 (minimum)
Must possess minimum training and experience in accordance with SNT-TC-1A
Must successfully pass general, specific, and practical examinations in accordance with SNT-TC-1A
Education – High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum one year in lab or related position.
Must be able to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
Must have basic knowledge of metallurgy, heat treating, inspection and related subjects.
Must be able to use RC hardness tester and other testing equipment as required.
Requires computer experience and good understanding of basic math.
May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.

This position requires the following physical and mental demands consisting of, but not limited to the following:

Must be able to work in a sitting position for extended periods of time in an office/industrial environment.
Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach to perform functions.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
Ability to hear in person and via phone.
