Job Description : Laboratory Technician – Contract To Hire

In this position you will be in charge of leaching PDC cutters in a laboratory environment. The position is based in Houston, TX, and reports to the Laboratory Supervisor.
Essential responsibilities include:

Ensure job deliverables are accurate and delivered on time.
Ensure that laboratory equipment is in clean, working condition and that waste is regularly disposed.
Perform regular audits to ensure the laboratory operates according to required standards.
Assist the Quality Engineers and Product Champions with technical support as required.
Perform risk analysis before each task or job to identify and mitigate potential safety or quality concerns.
Participate in Service Quality Meetings intended to improve performance and product quality.
Participate in HSE and Quality initiatives.
Wear PPE and observe HSE policies.
Maintain the required safety training.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
Effective communication skills.
Eagerness to learn.
Attention to detail, neat and organized.
Ability to work overtime (weekends included) as required. Flexible in working requirements as per business needs.
Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
Physical Demands: Good general fitness and health.

This position is on 1st shift with a work schedule form 6 am to 2:30pm. Overtime as needed
