Job Description : ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Follow all PSI rules and regulations
Willingness to perform job functions
Frequently cleans and maintains shop area
Occasionally performs minor ship preparation such as grinding
Occasionally removes and redresses lugs and pad eyes
Install handrails and remove handrails per shipyard regulations and requirements
Occasionally sweeps, paints, accumulates skids, parts…
Frequently keeps work area organized
Performs other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Knowledge of Metrics is preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Environmental exposures are similar to those found in most heavy industrial settings and may include noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fumes and smoke. Work may be carried on indoors or outdoors, and may involve exposure to inclement weather conditions.
Philly Shipyard is a TOBACCO FREE facility.
