Job Description : Position Title: Landscape Crew Member
Reports to: Operations Manager, Crew Leader
Position Overview: Landscape installation and renovation, irrigation and hardscape installation, proper upkeep of established landscaping, etc. for Residential, Commercial and Homeowner Associations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Installation of hardscape and softscape material according to design specifications.
Help with landscape installation of hardscape designs including patios, brick pavers, stairs, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, fire pits etc.
Help with landscape installation of plants, edging and mulch, lawns, irrigation and drainage
Tree and shrub planting, pruning, monitoring and maintenance.
Installation and maintenance of annual and perennial beds and planters.
Installation of irrigation systems and various water features.
Installation of drainage systems and retaining walls.
Installation of fabric, sod, decorative rock, mulch, etc.
Operate light and heavy equipment, automotive equipment, power tools and hand tools.
Keep work vehicles and equipment clean and organized.
Perform tasks such as proper planting, mulching, lighting installation, and paver installation, irrigation installation, etc.
Loading/unloading of trucks, trailers, and equipment
Operate a variety of mechanical equipment (i.e. mini excavators, skid steers, sod cutters, etc.)
Work with other crew members as a team
Perform such other activities as may be temporarily or permanently assigned.

Requirements:

Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Must be legally able to be employed in Texas
Possess and maintain a valid US Driver License, if in a driving position.
Ability to lift 50lbs or more on a daily basis.
Ability to interact professionally with all customers, employees and those from external organizations.
Ready to work, on time, dressed to work every day
Have a positive attitude and works well within a team environment

Work Environment: This position requires physical abilities such as strength, manual dexterity, and must be able to perform all required functions of this position. While performing the duties of this job, the Landscape Crew Member is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, lift, crouch, reach, stoop, crawl or kneel. The position is regularly exposed to outdoor environmental conditions including extreme hot and cold conditions. Additional working conditions may include inadequate lighting, restricted movement and
dirty/wet worksites.
This position may be required to work on weekends and holidays. Due to the seasonal nature of work, some peak load situations may arise.
Working Relationships: The Landscape Crew Member will work closely with Crew Leaders, Operations Manager, Owners, other Landscape Crew Members, Office Manager, Irrigation Technicians, and Lawn Care Technicians. At all times, the Landscape Crew
Member is a representative of Peola Outdoor Living & Landscape LLC. and will conduct him/herself in an appropriate manner.
Compensation:

$17.00/Hr. –first 30-90 days, guaranteed raise after 90 days based on job performance, and experience gained, reviews are performed 4 times per year.
Raises can also be gained by paid job training (ICPI, PLANET, LI – License, TDA License)
Paid weekly on Fridays after 4 P.M via direct deposit.

Paid Vacation/Time Off

Based on the accrual method, 10 vacation days after at least 1 year of service, 15 vacation days after 2 years of service, 18 vacation days after 3 years of service, and 20 vacation days after 5 years of service

Paid Holiday Schedule

New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day (8 Hours)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour
