Position : Legal Assistant

Job Description : Law Office of Derek S. Ritchie is expanding and seeking several full-time Legal Assistant in its San Antonio office (this position is not remote). The Legal assistant is responsible for providing support to Attorneys.

Ideal candidate should have idealy experience in a law firm or other professional services firm.
Ability to recognize and identify different legal documents.
Some drafting experience.
Create and maintain physical case files, including discovery and pleading indexes.
Update and maintain electronic file indexes in a document management system.
Organized, quick, tech-savvy, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
Provide primary back-up support to Office Services and occasional back-up support to Reception.
Must be a team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Other duties will include updating binders, keeping general office areas organized, and any other tasks or assignments as assigned by Attorneys or Paralegals.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $37,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
