Schedule: Monday to Friday 7am – 3:30pm

Responsibilities:

Drivers must provide outstanding and consistent customer service while delivering our products to customers.
Need to know or develop an understanding of our products and inventory.
Pre-trip vehicle inspections
Deliver material from Galleher to local branches or vice-versa, commercial/residential customers.
Check and secure loads prior to leaving and after each delivery.
Perform product pickups from vendors as assigned.
Helping other drivers as directed by dispatcher.
Warehouse help when they return.
Additional responsibilities to be determined as required.

Qualifications:

1-3 years previous experience driving a local delivery truck in a service-oriented position.
Standard Transmission
Air Brake endorsement (Q)
Drivers must be 25 years of age.
Must have excellent customer service skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with warehouse employees and all other associates.
Able to navigate and read a map.
Understand applicable DOT, OSHA, state and federal laws.
Hard worker who is goal oriented and has a habit of finishing assigned tasks with little or no supervision.
Must be results oriented.
Some overtime and weekend work may be required.
Needs strong follow through capabilities.
1-3 years experience as a delivery driver for a similar operation
May require working an assigned day, swing or graveyard shift coverage.
High School graduation or GED equivalency
Fluent in English
Bi-lingual is a plus.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

Valid class B driver license as required for position with a good driving record.
Certified multi purpose forklift operator. (Preferred)
Class B drivers must a valid Medical card and have air brake and trailer endorsements.
Class B drivers must a valid Medical card and have air brake endorsement.
Will drive a Truck cab Galleher yard and customer locations

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 per hour
