This job posting is an opportunity for you to get your application in front of our hiring leaders for our various Scripps Health Express openings throughout the Central San Diego Region including Rancho Bernardo, San Marcos Carmel Valley, and Torrey Pines.
In your application, we’ll ask you a series of questions to better understand your experience and preferences to ensure we have you considered for the best positions that meet your career search goals.
The ideal candidate for our Scripps Health Express sites will be someone who is eager to join a very team-oriented environment. You will see a medium variety of patients including patients ranging from pediatrics (ages 3+ months) and adults.
Your primary responsibilities will be to assist with patient check-ins and check-outs, point of care duties including vitals, immunizations, covid swabbing, and interacting with patients’ insurance companies. Here you will have an opportunity to see a wide variety of acute care patients, with patient volumes of 25 and up per day, and as high as 50 patients per day.
We are actively interviewing for various positions including Full Time, Part Time, and Casual (Per-Diem). These positions will have variable start times depending upon department needs and will also require weekend and holiday flexibility, including Saturdays and Sundays. There will also be an expectation for flexibility to float to neighboring Scripps Health Express locations as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman
BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred Qualifications:

1 year MA experience in an outpatient setting
Pediatric experience preferred but not required
