Job Description : MACHINE OPERATORS IN PHOENIX ARIZONA WITH FILLER, VERTIFCAL FORM FILLER, BAGGING OR PACKAGING FOOD MANUFACTURING EXP IS WHAT THEY ARE LOOKING FOR. NEED 3 ON EACH SHIFT :

1ST SHIFT : 5AM-2PM M-F

2ND SHIFT : 2PM -11PM

PAY RANGE IS 18-30HR DEPENDING ON HOW WELL YOU INTERVIEW IS WHAT YOU WILL GET !!!

JOB DESCRIPTION: MACHINE OPERATOR I

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Responsible for the set up and operation of the machine within accepted safety practices and the allotted time frame.
Properly perform necessary setting adjustments.
Properly perform film changes and ribbon changes including changeover from one dye to another.
Ensure the products have the correct components before packing them.
Continuously check the label, seals and date placement throughout the shift to ensure that every package label and date is correct.
Fill out and sign all required documentation before each run.
Monitor equipment operation to prevent unscheduled downtime.
Communicate effectively with Production Supervisors, Production Leads and other Packaging Technicians on any situations arising during their shift.
Other duties as assigned.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or equivalent; Certificate from accredited college or technical school in Mechanical studies is preferred. Minimum of 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
Read equipment manuals and diagrams.
Understand and be able to practice basic troubleshooting skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Machine Operator II

SUMMARY
Operates and troubleshoots production machinery. Responsible for coaching and training Packaging Technicians I & II on safety practices, quality procedures and equipment operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

All Packaging Technician I & II Responsibilities:

Responsible for the set up and operation of the machine within accepted safety practices and
the allotted time frame.

Properly perform necessary setting adjustments.
Properly perform film changes and ribbon changes including changeover from one dye to another.
Ensure the products have the correct components before packing them.

Properly assign problem codes that cause downtime
Understand how to send RedZone “Chats” to include photos to outline issues.
Perform mild equipment trouble shooting tasks with minimal supervision.
Describe the wrapping process in detail.
Perform mechanical and temperature adjustments to create ideal package.
Differentiate between mechanical and operator problems.

Additional Responsibilities:

Strategically assign Packaging Technicians to lines to assure success with team line-up.
Monitor RedZone and coach technicians who are not following protocol (assigning problem codes).
Monitor equipment operation and implement solutions to equipment issues.
Troubleshoot complex equipment problems with minimal supervision.
Navigate and troubleshoot through the video jet system and describe functionality in detail.
Describe and utilize all machine functions in terms of 360-degree cycle.
Define and utilize function of every adjustment within the machine.
Operate over-wrapper in adverse conditions (failing sensor, inadequate film size).
Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent; Certificate from accredited college or technical school in Mechanical Studies is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience operating and troubleshooting packaging and/or other mechanical machinery; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS
None required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

Proficient at reading equipment operator’s manuals and diagrams.
Good understanding and ability to practice basic troubleshooting skills.
Proficient at using hand tools.
Able to work in a fast pace production environment.
Able to set-up a R&D-type product; set all parameters on overwrap and printer efficiently.
Proficient at reading mechanical drawings.
Advanced knowledge of mathematics, geometry and metric system.
Strong communication and organization skills.
Must have an intermediate to advanced understanding of mechanical principles.

This position requires training on Good Manufacturing Practices critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency. Training is
also required on how to identify food safety issues such as temperature control, cross-contamination, sanitation and cleanliness of the lines, etc., critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety
Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency.
