Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required
Two years experience in each of the following areas:

Material control
Purchasing
Supervising employees
Performing receiving inspections

Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and MRP systems
Effective communication and organizational skills
Effective leader and motivator
Self motivated
Experience in the Aerospace Industry preferred

Job Description:
Manage

Supervise purchasers, material specialists and facilities personnel including the following:
Provide initial and ongoing training and guidance
Evaluate performance
Make compensation, hiring and termination recommendations
Set and track departmental and individual goals
Attend weekly management meeting to keep abreast of current and upcoming company issues

Purchasing Management

Maintain the purchasing process manual
Review and approve purchase orders generated by purchasers ensuring that the following objectives are met:
Material is purchased from an approved supplier
Material will be supplied in accordance with the specification and include appropriate conformance and test certification(s)
Material will be delivered on time and below the estimated cost
Maintain stock/order office supplies
Perform initial evaluation of supplier candidates
Perform bi-annual reviews of all active suppliers evaluating the following areas:
Quality
On Time Delivery
Affordability
Customer Service
Develop/maintain effective supplier relationships
Meet with suppliers as needed to resolve performance issues
Assist purchasers with buying functions as necessary

Inventory Management

Maintain the warehouses and establish new warehouses as required
Maintain the shelf life program
Maintain the stock level program adjusting stock levels as needed
Oversee all receiving inspections
Disposition NCs pertaining to defective vender-supplied products
Maintain the inventory process manuals
