Delivery Driver
Position Overview: The Meal Delivery Driver is responsible for accurately delivering meals and other items to Meals On Wheels recipients throughout Tarrant County.
Paid As: Hourly, Non-Exempt Full-time Employee
Hours of Operation: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday – Thursday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM Friday
Reports To: Vice President Client Services
AGENCY EXPECTATION OF EMPLOYEE
Maintain confidentiality of client, donor, volunteer, staff and board information
Support the mission, vision and goals of Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County
Represent Meals On Wheels in a professional manner at all times
Must have dependable transportation, valid driver license and personal vehicle insurance as required by the State of Texas
Required to pass criminal background check and have a free and clear MVR
ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS
Maintain safe driving habits at all times and cleanliness of your vehicle
Organize workload for maximum efficiency
Maintain proper food temperature for all items
Able to lift, load, unload, climb and carry 40 pounds
Must be able to walk and carry boxes and bags of food and supplies
Report to work punctually
Work effectively and with positive rapport with multiple departments at Meals On Wheels
Call clients if you will miss or will be late for routine deliveries
Complete and turn in required reports
Notify Vice President Client Services immediately if there are issues or an accident involving vehicle
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 21 years of age
Reliable transportation with valid vehicle insurance coverage
Maintain and provide a valid driver license with good driving record
Pass agency background check and personal insurance verification
Must have an active, working cell phone
Required to communicate effectively with clients and staff
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.37 per hour
