Summary:

Cuts and trims meats to size for display.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Cuts, trims, and bones & meat according to company standards.
Operates electric grinder/saw/knife sharpener/tenderizer/slicer.
Wraps meat; prices and labels for sale.
Provides excellent customer service by answering product-related questions, helping customers
make meat/seafood selections.

Rotates product in meat cooler and ensures proper storage practices.
Generate production list and track ‘re-works’.
Keeps total department clean and sanitary.
Assists customers with product questions.
Operates in compliance with federal and state fresh meat regulations.
Performs other cross-functional Market duties as needed.
Participate with a total store mindset.
Cross-functional duties in other areas may be assigned. Joe Vs Smart Shop Partners are trained to do at least two jobs within the store.

Education and Experience preferred:

Minimum age 18 (mandatory)
Excellent Customer Service skills
Ability to prioritize and handle cross functional tasks
Basic communication skills
Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Physical and Other Requirements:

Lift moderate to heavy loads, bend, push and pull, kneel, squat and stand and walk for long periods of time
Must successfully complete required job skills and compliance-related training.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
This is a fast-paced work environment that includes handling multiple tasks.
The work environment will include shifting priorities and assignments in various areas of the store throughout a shift
The environment also includes working with Customers and being attentive to their needs
