Job Description : General Summary
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for performing complex assembly procedures, rework, and repairs on oilfield manufactured equipment and products.
Primary Functions & Responsibilities

Assemble complex equipment and products under limited supervision and in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
Assist less experienced Assembly Mechanics, as necessary.
Perform all necessary documentation in a timely manner.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Confer with supervisor regarding quality or procedure problems.
Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.

Qualifications

High School Graduate or GED and four to ten years of related experience
Prior experience in an assembly/manufacturing environment is required. Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical assembly is required.
Ability to accept responsibility and accountability for own actions.
Good verbal communications skills
Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
Ability to think in such a way as to improve a process and/or produce a new concept or idea.
Ability to work effectively as a team with other people regardless of their age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or job type.
Ability to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work.
Ability to focus on a goal and obtain results.
Basic computer navigation and utilization skills preferred.
Ability to work for extended periods, includes standing, crouching, lifting, bending, etc.

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demand

Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to bend, twist, climb ladders.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 – $26.00 per hour
