Position : Medical Clerk III Position-Overnight Shifts Candidates Only

Job Description : Scope of Service: The Contractor shall provide non personal administrative support services ( Medical clerk II/Medical Clerk III) necessary to support the Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA), Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Duties listed below is not limited to other functioned that may be asked or required.

Receives all telephone calls and visitors to the clinic (i.e. outpatients, military personnel, beneficiary
and Veterans) regarding the availability of, and procedures for obtaining medical related services.
Schedules all appointments at the clinic and ensures correct computer data of necessary information
regarding scheduled and walk-in patients, telephone calls, no-shows, late cancellations, and other information
relevant to workload accountability. Inform patients on the procedures for scheduling appointments at other clinics.
Ensures all appointments are closed out at the end of each day (EOD Processing). This EOD processing shall be
conducted prior to their leaving work every day.
Records all walk-in patients in the database upon arrival. Use the computer to compile data on the
number of patients treated at the clinic for monthly workload recording scheduled appointments and walk-ins.
Consolidates automated appointment schedules records on daily basis to reconcile workload.
Cancels and reschedules appointments on patient request or clinic requests due to illness, TDY, or emergency leave of the health care provider.
Provides appointments for referrals/consultations generated from internal and external organizations. Calls patients to change, cancel, and remind of upcoming appointment. Makes appropriate systems requirements/changes. Generate end of day reports as necessary pertaining to appointing outcomes and management schedules. Obtains, tracks, and inputs appointment templates, insuring access standards are meet. Scans, reviews, makes appointments and routes consult using electronic consult system of CHCS. Produces management reports as needed.
Great customer service skills. Professionalism and positive attitude is an must.
Ability to work in a fast team environment, and work under pressure.
Attention to detail, speed accuracy and must multi tasker.
Effectively listen and follow directions.
Must be punctual with great attendance.
Prior Front Desk/Clerical skills a must.
An Security Clearance will be performed.
