Position : Medical Office Assistant

Job Description : We are a Mobile Physician Practice that provide clinical care for our patients in San Diego County. Currently we are looking to expand our roster and are looking for Medical Assistants in the field to help our providers and in the office as support staff.
Responsibilities for Medical Office Assistant

Interview patients for case histories prior to appointments
Schedule and coordinate appointments
Assist patients with initial paperwork
Accurately update and maintain patients’ health records
Verify insurance coverage and assist the billing department with processing claims
Communicate test results to patients when directed by physicians or nursing professionals
Assist patients with re-scheduling appointments and other scheduling issues
Inform patients of billing issues

Qualifications for Medical Office Assistant

Professional and courteous disposition
Medical office experience a plus
2+ years’ administrative experience
Excellent communication and time management skills
Familiarity with medical and insurance legislation
Excellent attention to detail
Proficiency of healthcare operations
Great organizational and multitasking skills
Customer-oriented communication skills’

Benefit Conditions: Only full-time employees eligible.
Work Location

Office position will be done remotely for the next 6 months.
Field position will be for the entire County of San Diego

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Monday to Friday

COVID-19 considerations:All work will be done remotely and there will be no patient contact.
Education:

High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

Medical Assistant: 1 year (Preferred)
Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
