Job Description : Current Meditation is a brand new concept that specializes in providing meditation for the modern world. Our Houston studio offers group meditation classes in a welcoming space. We’re taking the intimidation factor and mystery out of meditation to bring the practice mainstream and encourage new meditators to rediscover their authentic selves to lead more fulfilling lives.
We are looking for experienced meditation/mindfulness instructors, certified yoga instructors or mental/physical healthcare professionals to lead classes.
Here are the competencies & qualifications we require (please read carefully):
A consistent personal meditation practice, a genuine belief in the physiological benefits of meditation and mindfulness, and a passion for sharing those benefits with others.
Friendly, open-minded, community-oriented, and socially conscious.
A willingness to learn and adhere to our established class format and content, including playing crystal bowls and gong. Don’t worry if you don’t know how – we’ll train you.
Adaptability. We’re a new business in an emerging industry, so we need people who are comfortable with change as we seek to better understand and serve our customers.
Dependability and flexibility. Our guides work in shifts of 2-6 classes, including evenings and weekends, so a history of exemplary attendance is a must. Proximity to the studio in West U is a plus.
