Job Description : Duties
The following are the duties of this position at the WG-10. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
Disassemble, repair, rebuild, modify, and adjust or manufacture component parts for automated feed systems, mills, clutch assemblies, feed conveyors, sensors and actuators (electronic and hydraulic), adjust safety devices including door interlocks as necessary using hand tools, grinders, drill presses and other shop tools as necessary.
Perform fine adjustments that are required but are not limited to: adjusting the stroke, push off, timing and indexing and adjusting the mills and end mills to within tolerances of (.0001).
Interpret and modify multidimensional drawings, schematics, tutorials, shop drawings, specifications (computer accessed, developed and designed and maintained by die-setters and production machinery mechanics and other trade specific specialist which also includes the use of manuals).
Install power sources on standalone conveyor modules and maintain the hydraulically controlled torque wrenches (this includes replacing worn gaskets and parts, hydraulic lines, adjusting the PSI, changing different heads for different setups.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. PHYSICAL EFFORT Incumbent frequently works with objects weighing up to 60 pounds and on an occasional basis in excess of 100 pounds however, moving equipment will be available. Required to push, pull, reach, walk, stoop, stand, kneel, bend, carrying of parts, supplies, coins, blanks, trays, packages, tools, etc. Work requires dexterity, mental alertness, agility, and coordination of movement in order to operate the equipment properly and to prevent errors. Must be able to work in cramped quarters/positions for sustained periods of time and must have sufficient eyesight to do close work and endurance, hand/eye coordination is required to keep pace with the operation of machines and controls. Operates a forklift. Work requires sitting and/or standing for prolonged periods of time. AND You must show in your experience in the online application that you possess the knowledge, skill and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
