Job Description : We have an urgent opening for Mining Mate for our client a leading Mining company to join their growing team;
This would 3 Year contract on Client Business Partner Payroll and the job location would be Udaipur, Rajasthan.
About this role
Intermediate with the valid unrestricted mining mate certificate of competency for metalliferous mines issued by DGMS.
Candidate must possess 01(one) year experience as mining mate in underground non-ferrous metal mines after acquiring mining mate certificate of competency.
Candidate must be able read, write and speak Hindi/local language.
Supervises ore extraction in his section of mine;
Detects unsafe appliances & ensure compliance of safety measures;
Supervises setting of supports for securing roof and walls of work face;
Carry out his duties in accordance with the provisions of the regulations and of any orders made thereunder with respect to the transport and use of explosives;
Deployment of resources in efficient manner to maximize output in a shift;
Knowledge of risk assessments and shift inspection;
Ensures that air crossing, door, brattice, and other ventilation devices are maintained in good order;
Ensure efficient use of materials/ equipment available in shift;
Regular inspections w.r.t. gases, fire, water/ inundation, II outlet, emergency preparedness, fall of ground etc;
Effective communications skills and delivery of toolbox talks;
Conduct JSAs and enforce of SOPs with zero deviations;
Maintain discipline by minimizing absenteeism, equipment damage, improving pull, truck factor;
Effectively carry out emergency preparedness and awareness in the section like mock drills, safety demonstrations, ensuring II Outlets;
Guides & Supervises staff who prepare, inspect, and work in mining extraction projects;
Ensures the staff performs design calculations and records accuracy of mining activities;
Maintains prescribed records and submits reports to superiors on safety measures and output of work;
Be conversant of Duties of Blaster (Section-48) and Duties of Mining Mates (Section-47) of The Metalliferous Mines Regulations, 1961.
What you need to bring
Mining mate being a statutory position a candidate to be considered for this position must possess Manager’s; Foreman’s or Mate’s certificate of competency in unrestricted mines issued by DGMS under the Metalliferous Mines Regulations, 1961.
Minimum 1 Year of Experience to 4 Year of Experience.
