Job Description : Mission Control Transporter – 6:00am-2:30pm with rotating weekends

Position Highlights

Work location: Texas Health Harris Methodist Fort Worth 1301 Pennsylvania Ave Fort Worth, TX 76104
Work hours: 6:00am-2:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays.

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth is a 726-bed, Magnet-designated regional referral center that has served the residents of Tarrant County and surroundings communities since 1930. Hospital services include cardiovascular care, high-risk obstetrics, gynecology, orthopedics and sports medicine, neonatal intensive care, and trauma/emergency medicine. In early 2014, Texas Health Fort Worth will be opening a new 75,000 square foot Emergency Services Center, one of the largest in the region.
Texas Health Fort Worth has more than 4,000 employees, 200 volunteers and nearly 1,000 physicians on its medical staff. Texas Health Fort Worth recently received national recognition for its oncology program and was named “Best Place to Have a Baby” in Tarrant County. Qualifications – External

Qualifications

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required
Associates Degree Preferred
6 Months related experience Preferred or
6 Months customer service Preferred
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Required
Ability to make independent decisions while maintaining tact, maturity, and a professional attitude.
Excellent verbal communication. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
Knowledge of Windows/PC helpful.
Proactive problem solving; good interpersonal and time management.

Responsibilities

Transports patients by the appropriate method to and from all patient care areas.
Transports patient care equipment, supplies, mail and other applicable supporting items throughout the hospital.
Assists patients in dressing appropriately for procedures.
Securing necessary maintenance and repair of equipment and maintains adequate stock levels of supplies.
Adheres to Body Substance Isolation Universal Precaution Policy.
Willingly accepts additional duties and tasks assigned by supervisor.
Deliver patient concierge services.
