Job Description : Wanderlust Tours is looking to hire a Naturalist Guide who will be responsible for conducting guided tours paddling on rivers and lakes, hiking through forests, and caving underground throughout central Oregon. As a professional naturalist, you will focus on interpreting the cultural and natural history of our beautiful landscape to enhance the guest’s experience. As the face of Wanderlust Tours, you will interact with many amazing visitors and locals alike while being able to share your passion for the natural world with them.Wanderlust Tours was established by Dave and Aleta Nissen in 1993. Since then, Wanderlust Tours has thrived as a tourism entity in central Oregon. We are always excited to have people join in the fun of touring the beautiful central Oregon region. As you will experience, there are many rewards for taking people on guided tours. The people you meet are not only the key to Wanderlust Tours’ success, but they are the source for great joy. While our client experience is very important to us, we hold great respect for the natural surroundings of our tours and hope to introduce people to delicate ecosystems while maintaining a low impact on the environment. We also prefer candidates who have an educational background in natural sciences or cultural history, experience paddling canoes and kayaks, and the ability to lift heavy objects. We run trips in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings, so flexibility in your schedule is also important.
