Position : Officer, IT
Job Description : The IT Officer will lead the INCO IT team and ensure a wide variety of technical support to all India staff related to system software, hardware, operating systems, networks and related communications systems.
S/he is responsible for introducing new technologies to the organization and offering effective training programs for all staff. S/he will be ensuring the installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.IT Officer will also ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values.
Duties & Responsibilities:
User Support
Provide IT support to staff at INCO and SO level
Install and manage software in coordination with GO, including updates and license compliance.
Remedy all issues relating to malware.
Verify that Microsoft Windows and Software Updates are installed regularly.
Experience supporting desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
Remote support to India branch offices
Network
Maintain network equipment including all wireless access points, and Firewall(s).
Configure and maintain servers.
Monitor and run diagnostics to ensure that all systems are running smoothly.
Maintain network devices including printers and All-in-One Copiers.
Institute and maintain rigorous and regular back up system for all users at INCO/
Implement disaster recovery in alignment with organization needs and GO process and procedures.
Compliance
Communicate regularly with the Global IT team to ensure that the Country Office is following office IT regulations and best practices.
Maintain procedures and reports that provide technical support to the entire organization.
Analyze records and logs to spot underlying trends and potential issues.
Support the implementation of new solutions or applications.
Establish accounts for new users and assist with password or login problems.
Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures related to IT assets management
Team Management and functionality
Support in managing IT team by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance
Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
Test, evaluate, and help teams in making decisions about new technology in the best interest of the organization.
Identify issues and implement strategic solutions in time
Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Graduate degree in IT or equivalent certified course of IT.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in IT system administration.
Must possess an in-depth understanding of multiple operating systems, network environment, hardware platforms and/or application areas, and be able to independently research, learn and implement best-practice solutions to problems.
Must have the ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure, use judgment in accomplishing tasks that are urgent or of a sensitive or confidential nature; balance conflicting priorities, and make decisions from a range of choices.
Solid customer service skills are required. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate with a wide range of users across India.
A demonstrated ability to acquire and maintain a working knowledge of a wide range of applications and systems. Hands on experience in supporting:
System administration of Windows based systems and servers
Microsoft Security practices (anti-virus and anti-spyware tools, security audit software)
Office productivity software
Travel: Minimal travel required depending on work priorities.
