Technical Skills:
Must have 5+ years hands on experience with Oracle Database administration (Release 12c, 19c)
Must have 2+ years hands on experience in Postgres
Must possess knowledge about cloud technology DBaaS, PaaS, IaaS on OCI, AWS, Azure
Expert level Oracle Database Administration (Configuration, Maintenance, Cloning, Patching, Dataguard, Multitenant)
Have worked on Oracle Database/ASM/RAC Installation, Upgradation, Migration projects
Must have troubleshooting skills on RAC, Database, Performance Tuning and Backup Recovery etc
Excellent understanding of the underlying operating system (Linux/Windows), network and storage
Hands on experience of Oracle Enterprise Manager and Shell-Scripting
Knowledge about ITIL process, tools and good ability to understand business functionality, processes and flows
Good knowledge on Oracle Exadata Environment will be an added advantage
Strong presentation and communication skills
Broad knowledge of existing and emerging IT technologies
Job Responsibilities:
Be willing to work in night shifts on a rotational basis
Knowledge on the ticketing tools and should be aware about the ITIL Process.
Coordinate with Infrastructure Team, Applications Team, Provisioning Team and different stakeholders
Setup and maintain documentation and standards.
Excellent Communication Skills and ability to set the right expectations
Able to manage/prioritize work, meet deadline with attentions to details & quality.
Should be team player, mentor junior engineers to help the team learn and grow
Responsible for performing deep incident analysis, RCAs, post incident reports.
Identify & recommend system improvements & apply industry best practices.
