Job Description : Title: Quest Director
Employment Status: Exempt/Seasonal

Plato Learning operates outdoor mythology-based day camps for kids ages 7-15. They create a world where monsters, myth, and magic transport kids out of the mortal realm into one where they are empowered to develop new skills, take risks, solve problems, and ultimately become Heroes. Now in ten locations spanning from NYC to California, Plato Learning uses actors, live-action role-play, and physically and mentally engaging activities to bring myths to life. Are you ready to join the team and accept our call to adventure?
We are seeking to hire Quest Directors at all camp locations, including Manhattan, NY; Brooklyn, NY; Staten Island, NY; West Orange, NJ; Washington, D.C.; Richmond, VA; Philadelphia, PA; Glendale, CA; Los Angeles, CA; and San Francisco, CA. Quest Directors lead the execution of weekly ‘Quest’ productions at our summer camp programs. Quests are immersive outdoor theatrical adventure experiences for our campers (ages 7-12). They are multi-disciplinary, audience-driven events that involve elements of immersive improvisation between actors and campers, LARP-style combat with foam weapons, “escape room” style physical and mental challenges/puzzles, and much more.
Quest Directors are a hybrid of many “traditional” theatrical roles including Director, Stage Manager, Scenic Designer, and Performer.
COVID NOTICE: Our COVID-19 Policies and Procedures will be updated periodically to reflect all mandated state and federal health & safety regulations. All camps will operate in-person in 2021.

Storytelling interactions with campers ages 7-12

Discussions with campers about their experiences during Quest interactions
